Validation & Verification

Through the Validation/Verification Program, NEU envisions that high-potential materials/technologies that have a significant impact on greenhouse gas emission reductions can be identified and adopted by the industry. Have questions? Review the Program FAQs.

What is the NEU Validation/Verification Program?

The NEU Validation/Verification Program is a conformity assessment process that includes a decision on the confirmation of the environmental claim(s) declared by a client in a Validation or Verification Statement. The Validation/Verification Program provides verification of a historical claim, or validation of a future outcome; however, it does not result in a product characterization or product certification, nor requires examinations (such as sampling or continuous compliance inspections).
