Primekss presents a new on-demand webinar on "Eco-Efficient Floors and Foundations: Why the World Needs Concrete Technology That Ensures CO2 Reduction and Future Flexibility." Presented by Dr. Gita Sakale, manager of the SIA Primekss Concrete Research and Development Center, and Dr. Rolands Cepuritis, chief technology officer at SIA Primekss and an associate professor at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
Primekss has more than 25 years of experience in steel fiber reinforced concrete slab production for industrial, high-performance and automated floors for warehouses. Worldwide 8% of all man-made CO2 emissions originate from cement production and construction of concrete structures. Common solution is to use low carbon concrete but it doesn’t solve problem completely and initiate additional challenges. Here we would like to share our experience through holistic approach to decrease CO2 emissions in slab design.
Dr. Gita Sakale is the manager of the SIA Primekss Concrete Research and Development Center, the largest Concrete R&D Center in Eastern Europe. With a PhD in Material Science from Riga Technical University and over 15 years of research experience (more than 25 scienfitic publications), Dr. Sakale has more than a decade of expertise in the concrete industry. She is highly skilled in quality control, best practices in concrete production, standards, and auditing, making her a leading authority in her field.
Dr. Rolands Cepuritis is the chief technology officer at SIA Primekss and an associate professor at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). As the chairman of the board of the Latvian Concrete Association, he plays a key role in shaping industry standards. With a PhD from NTNU and a wealth of experience from Heidelberg Materials, Dr. Cepuritis has been at the forefront of innovation at Primekss for over a decade. He is an author of more than 30 scientific publications and a recognized inventor, holding several patents that have revolutionized jointless concrete composite pavement industry. As the visionary developer behind PrīmX concrete technology, Dr. Cepuritis continues to lead advancements that are redefining the future of sustainable building materials.
